Square Enix asks fans about remakes?

Hey, I've recently discovered that Square Enix recently asked fans about their opinion for a remake of Final Fantasy 7 on their official Square Enix Members Twitter account. It was immediately flooded with positive replies, so many in fact, that the author asked everyone to stop replying.

This is pretty much the first time Square Enix themselves asked people about a remake. Two days later, they even asked about fans' opinions for a remake of Final Fantasy 8.

Does this mean Square Enix is definitely considering remakes for Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII? You'll have to wait and see like the rest of us. But it sure has gotten fans talking.

shrugs idk but for them to be curious about it i would have to assume so FF7 is a very popular game and the fact that theres 3 spin offs relating to the game as well as a movie 2 if you count AC complete (btw TOTALLY AWESOME) would suggest strongly towards a remake of FF7 as for FF8 idk it was a good game dont get me wrong but it might not have a large enough fanbase to make it worthy of a remake after all they have to make money on it

Wow this is promising news... both would make Sellout remakes.... hope they keap the world maps......hmmm....i dont know about you guys but an RPG doesnt realli feel like much of a journey wivout the world map lol.
Been playing through FF13...and i must say.... impressive visuals n all.... but it just didnt GRAB me... like 7,8 hmmm n maybe 9 did.... the world in ff13 luks tooo similar to ff 10.
but anyhows.... the world NEEDs this FF7 remake

they would have to as both 7 and 8 had world maps it would be too radical a change to remove them and would also majorly affect gameplay otherwise

Hmm. im looking forward to Final Fantasy VIII. it would be awesome to see it all in better graphics. im a big fan of FF8, so it would be great. i dont really care for 7. but there both great games. YAY!
